Russian Court Again Cuts Sentence for Khodorkovsky Partner - Corruption Currents - WSJ

A Russian court once again ordered the reduction of a prison sentence on the business partner of jailed oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky after an earlier ruling cutting the jail term was overruled by a higher court, Dow Jones Newswires reported.

Platon Lebedev’s original sentence of 13 years in prison was first reduced in August, but a regional court overruled that decision in September.

The court ruled Thursday that Lebedev’s term is lowered to 10 years, meaning that he would be released from jail in July 2013 if it stands, the Newswires report said.
