Ex-CEO of SNC-Lavalin Arrested - Corruption Currents - WSJ

Quebec’s anti-corruption police arrested the former head of engineering giant SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. on Wednesday morning, charging him with fraud, conspiracy to commit fraud and the use of false documents.

Former SNC Chief Executive Pierre Duhaime was arrested at 10:45 a.m. at his home by Quebec’s anti-corruption squad, said Anne-Frederick Laurence, a spokeswoman for the provincial police unit, declining further comment to the Wall Street Journal on the charges.

She said Duhaime will be released later Wednesday on the condition he pledges to cooperate with the police investigation, the Journal report said.

Duhaime wasn’t available for comment.
