Rolls-Royce Hands SFO Information About Bribery Concerns - Corruption Currents - WSJ

Rolls-Royce Group PLC said Thursday it handed information over to the U.K. Serious Fraud Office relating to concerns about bribery and corruption “involving intermediaries” in overseas markets.

The engine-maker for aerospace, defense and marine customers said in a statement that the report to the SFO follows a request by the agency concerning allegations of “malpractice in Indonesia and China,” and that investigations by the company found “matters of concern” in those and other overseas markets.

A spokesman for Rolls Royce declined to comment to The Wall Street Journal on other countries involved, or to say who had initially raised the matter with the SFO.
