FIFA Extends Bin Hammam Provisional Ban - Corruption Currents - WSJ

International soccer’s governing body said Thursday it extended a provisional ban on Mohamed bin Hammam over his financial dealings.

The former candidate for president of Fédération Internationale de Football Association, who successfully appealed a lifetime ban at the Court of Arbitration for Sport over corruption allegations, was provisionally suspended as FIFA investigated possible financial impropriety.

FIFA said Thursday that the probe was completed Tuesday and that a final report, along with the relevant investigation files, was handed over to the judicial body of the ethics committee for examination.
