Indonesia’s sports minister resigned after authorities launched an investigation into his role in an alleged corruption case.

Andi Mallarangeng, the youth and sports minister, denied at a press conference having ever received kickbacks. The Indonesian anti-corruption agency, which goes by the acronym KPK, named him as a suspect in a case estimated by a government audit to have caused a loss of around $25.4 million to the state.
